1. Your choices

Necessary cookies are always on so the site can function (session security and remembering your cookie choices). Optional categories—Preferences and Analytics—can be changed anytime with Cookie settings in the footer.

This notice supplements the Privacy Policy, including Washington Public Records Act considerations for information held by the City.

2. What we use

Name / storage Category Purpose
Session cookie (e.g. WESTPORT_STR_SESS) Necessary Keeps you signed in securely and holds short-lived server session state (HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax).
westport_str_cookie_consent Necessary Stores your cookie category choices (about one year) so we do not re-prompt every visit. Value is a compact code such as 1.1.0.….
localStorage · westport_str_theme Preferences Remembers light or dark theme when Preferences are allowed.
Wizard draft keys in localStorage Preferences Restores multi-step form progress in this browser when Preferences are allowed.
Analytics scripts Analytics Not loaded today. Future scripts will check Analytics consent before running.
OpenStreetMap map tiles Necessary (map pages) On pages that show a map, the browser requests map images from OpenStreetMap tile servers. That is a network request (not a first-party cookie); your IP address is visible to that provider while the map loads. See External links.

3. How to change your mind

Use Cookie settings, or clear site cookies in your browser (you may need to sign in again). Denying Preferences stops new theme/wizard writes to localStorage; Necessary cookies continue.
